This gray silk wedding dress was worn by A. E. Ralston for her Oct. 27, 1875 marriage to Dr. James L. McLain. Oct. 27, 1875. The bodice has a pointed peplum in the back and eleven mother of pearl buttons down the center front. The skirt features ruched panels that extend from the hips down the sides of the skirt and a bustle accented with a bow.
