Discover your connection to Chester County history.

The Chester County Historical Society is filled with the stories, photos, art and artifacts which make all of our programs connect us today with the people of yesterday. Come and discover - hands-on activities, crafts, interactive exhibits, engaging storytellers - all make learning enjoyable.

History Connections:  School and Youth Programs
Created for groups, CCHS’s school and youth programs provide hands-on educational opportunities through the power of authentic artifacts and primary source documents, bringing the past alive for today’s student of history. Programs are available at CCHS or in your classroom. For a fee, thematic traveling trunks can be rented (for one or two weeks) to use in the classroom.  Trunks are filled with lesson plans, reproduction artifacts, images and primary documents to connect local history to larger themes in historical study.

National History Day:
Chester County Historical Society coordinates National History Day for  Chester and Delaware Counties. National History Day is a year-round academic competition that includes 600,000 students annually.

Public Programs
Through our Public Programs, for family and adult audiences, there is something happening all year long! These programs include family fun days, holiday programs, walking tours, lectures, and workshops.

Speaker's Bureau
CCHS's Speaker's Bureau provides you with the opportunity to schedule expert speakers on local history topics for your event or program.
