Many Nations | Chester County will reveal many stories about the people who have made this community what it is today.

From the first contact between the Lenape and European immigrants in the 1600s, Chester County has been part of the global community. By 1810, residents represented at least ten countries of origin. By 1930, the number of countries numbered more than forty. Today, Chester County's diverse residents are measured by more than sixty languages and six continents.

This melting pot has not always been easy and inclusion has not always been equal. Yet the human spirit prevailed and continues to make this a vibrant place. We are interested in your family's story. Do you have artifacts to lend or photos to share? Favorite family recipes, experiences in finding work, or the traditions of celebration are just a few aspects of the exhibit.
