Did you know Chester County Historical Society has a rare and extensive ceramics collection, including redware, Tucker porcelain and Phoenixville majolica?  This is your chance to spend time with authorities, Curator Ellen Endslow and Collections Manager Heather Hansen.  They will guide and share behind-the-scenes examples of utilitarian and fashionable ceramics used in Chester County. This includes rare examples of Chinese export porcelain, and redware and porcelain made using local clay.  Learn about the different manufacturing methods and how decorative trends evolved to reflect needs of our society.

This is an opportunity for both the seasoned collector and curious novice. Not to be missed.

Save the date August 14 for the next in the series of behind-the-scenes tours.
