The Chester County Historical Society and the Chester County Archives will host a series of informative genealogical lectures in May. The Coming to America series focuses on the record types, research strategies, and historical context of immigration and naturalization, with special focus on German, PA Dutch, and Irish ancestors.

May 5: Exploring Naturalization and Immigration Records, presented by Sydney Cruice Dixon

May 12: German Immigrants, Pennsylvania Germans, and their Records, presented by Jim Beidler

May 19: Irish Records and Research Strategies, presented by Frank Southcott

A lecture ticket makes an excellent Mother’s or Father’s Day gift for the genealogist in your family. Drinks and light morning fare will be served.

All three lectures will be held at the Chester County Historical Society, 225 N. High St., West Chester, on Saturday mornings, from 9:00 – 11:45 AM.

Tickets for each program are $20.00 for CCHS members, $30.00 for non-members, and $10.00 for students with valid student ID. Participants can register by calling 610-692-4800 or emailing
